Last year, I was a lucky member of The Majestic Pandicorns – a group of wonderful friends who tackled a 20K walk around London and raised more than £1600 for the MS Society doing so.
The MS Walk 2016 was such a success that we signed up again this year! On September 24th, The Majestic Pandicorns will once again undertake a mighty walk around the city for the cause.
Why are we doing this? Because MS affects more than 100,000 people in the UK alone, and one of those persons is our friend. It is a shocking diagnosis to receive and a terrible condition to live with. However, despite the challenges brought on by the disease, this friend has managed to keep her sense of humour, her flamboyant personality and her smile. She is an inspiration; to walk 20K and raise a few thousand pounds for the cause is the least we can do.
We set our goal at £1000 but we’d be really, really happy to smash last year’s amount. You can help us by donating here, and you can keep an eye on the team’s target here. It doesn’t have to be much… We will be very grateful for every penny you can spare.
