It’s been almost a year since I put together one of these lists so, in the spirit of spring, I thought I’d share the love for a few of the products I’ve bought and/or used lately.
Spatone Liquid Iron
After getting sick from the pills I was initially recommended to treat iron deficiency, I did some research and found lots of great reviews for this product. I was a bit unsure at first, but it lived up to its reputation. I had no side effects whatsoever, even when taking it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
Rab Women’s Interval Long Sleeve Tee
This ultra-light top is perfect for those runs ‘in between seasons’ when layering up for the ever-changing weather becomes a challenge. Very breathable, it can be worn over another shirt or on its own – I find it very handy on the days that do not quite yet feel like summer.
Pip & Nut Nut Butter Squeeze Packs
I stumbled upon these in my quest for more sustaining running snacks. You can only eat so many Jelly Babies before turning into one! Nut butters are very nutritious and they helped me avoid the dreaded mid-run sugar crash. Just make sure to have a drink handy.
Lush ‘Honey I Washed My Hair’ Shampoo Bars
We started buying shampoo bars at the end of last year in an effort to reduce our consumption of single use plastic. I was sceptical at first, but on top of helping save the planet, these bars have made my long and easily tangled mane a lot more manageable.
Brooks Ghost 11 Women’s Road Running Shoes
Brooks sent me this lovely pair of Ghost 11 as a replacement for my Ghost 10 when they started falling apart after only 200 miles. Thankfully for me, the Ghost 11 seem a little sturdier! They are a tad more rigid than their predecessors, but just as comfy – especially on long runs.
