I’m Frede, a 20-something French-Canadian girl living in the UK.
When I reveal to strangers where I get my accent from, I usually get a bemused ‘what are you doing in England then?!’ so let’s get that out the way… I met Edward in May 2013. Our online friendship became a real life long-distance relationship in June 2015 and I moved overseas in February 2016 to be with him. He’s my best friend and favourite adventure. We eloped in January 2018 and now live in the charming historic city of Lincoln with our two cats, Edgar and Leia.
I change hobbies like I change shirt – pretty often. Although with time, some have stuck: I’m a keen (trail) runner and practice yoga almost daily. I also travel, hike, bake, knit, photograph stuff, and read voraciously. When I’m not doing any of these things, you may find me holding for dear life on the pillion seat of my husband’s motorcycle.
I write about all of that more or less regularly. Since I set out to run 1000 miles in 2019, there’s been a shift towards a little more running content. There is also the occasional post about life in the UK (the good, the bad and the frustrating immigration system) as well as the odd product review.
